The Social Life x NYC
New York, New York...
Where the air is so different and the passion is consistent! I felt like I had to take a trip to get some inspiration and motivation. Anytime I'm in the city "IT'S A WHOLE THING"... coined phrased by Amiraa Vee (www.amiraavee.com). Who actually was another reason for my visit, to celebrate her birthday.
To be honest... the whole weekend was a blur so this post will be very similar. I remember everything in segments and I can't even seem to remember when I got to NY... I want to say I arrived the same day of the festivities (Saturday). I remember having to get ready immediately.
We prepped for dinner and ubered to Spice Market in Manhattan. Definitely a new favorite spot. The ambiance is beautiful! Dim lighting..sleek/chic furniture/fixings..great music..great vibes and delectable food. I wish I could remember what I ordered! (www.spicemarketnewyork.com)
The down part of the night/visit was my attention span lol... I couldn't stay up for the life of me. Hence, why I dont remember much. I do remember someone telling me that they had a convo w/ me for about 30 minutes until they realized that my eyes were closed behind my mirrored frames. In between a nap... I took a bite out of my entree... immersed myself into the topic of conversation.. and then I would get on snapchat (illmisterhill) and then somehow I would find myself waking up 10-20 minutes later.
Everyone was clowning me.. saying that I was "Snappin' and Nappin' and if im being honest... they weren't lying lol
After dinner we had a slight photo op with plenty of bystanders/admirers.. per usual, until we all divided up into cabs and continued the Amiraa Vee Bday Extravaganza
Again
I found myself opening my eyes, adapting to my surroundings when I hear Future coming through the jaded taxi speakers.
Amiraa Vee: "Ummmmm could you turn this up!!?!"
The taxi driver clearly knew it was time to turn up, blasting the speakers.
*TAKES OUT PHONE, OPENS SNAPCHAT*
Next thing I know it... I find myself waking up in a lounge at 2 a.m.
